FAQ's

Our goal is to answer any questions you might have before registering. However, we have all the details covered and are excited to host you as an official GND volunteer.

Can I register more than one person under the same reservation?

There is no capacity for your registration providing that the Serve Center you selected has the available capacity. You can register your entire party under one reservation.

What is a Serve Center?

Every GND event starts and ends with local and innovative organization partnerships. Each handpicked org will be assigned a serve radius 1-2 miles around their campus and become a center of service and aid through the campaign. Each person reached during the campaign is connected back to their organization with intelligent data points and relationship history.

What will be provided for me at my Serve Center?

Every Serve Center host may or may not provide snacks or hydration.  Please come prepared regardless.  You will be able to communicate with your Serve Center Coordinator once you register and ask them all questions related to your Serve Center and experience.

Will there be volunteer shifts available in case I cannot commit to a full day?

There is no standard start or end day for service. Every Serve Center sets custom hours of operation. These will vary by time of day and length of service.

Can my child serve? How old do they need to be to serve?

We recommend bringing your children with you to serve if your Serve Center welcomes minor volunteers! We’ve found children as young as 7 can offer value at the Serve Center as well as have a fulfilling and fun experience! We discourage families bringing kids 6 and under with them to serve. No childcare will be provided at any Serve Center.

Where will I park?

A Parking instructions will be sent out by each Serve Center Coordinator. However, we suggest that you plan ahead and consider carpooling with friends if possible.
